Every deactivated mine means another life saved
Every 30 minutes a mine explodes somewhere in the world – and every year 200,000 people are maimed or killed in such explosions.
And yet statistics like these cannot possibly convey the true scope of the problem, since the suffering inflicted upon civilians, including paralysed agriculture, inaccessibility of streets and wells, and poverty exacerbated by hunger and rural exodus, only truly begins once the conflict as such has ended.
The actual number of victims, therefore, is probably closer to 200,000,000.
Our projects meet international demining standards and allow local populations to return to self-subsistence once our work is done.
