We intervene mainly in extremely rural regions, where we focus on what we call “forgotten minefields”. These are areas passed over by governments and other organizations, which privilege power supplies and streets over human lives. Our projects return farmland to local populations starved of their food supply by the scourge afflicting their fields. We begin with extensive mine education, teaching civilians to live with the constant threat and avoid casualties. We then go on to identify areas for demining and have them cleared by experts. Compulsory quality control guarantees an absolutely mine-free terrain, at which point reconstruction can begin.
