Annual report 2025

2025 was a challenging year for humanitarian mine action worldwide. Despite declining international funding and escalating conflicts, we were able to continue our work in seven countries together with our local and international partner organizations.

Over the past year, together with our partner organizations, we cleared 208,304 square meters of land contaminated by mines and explosive remnants of war. In total, 1,344 mines and 2,339 explosive remnants of war were removed. As a result, 38,410 people regained safe access to land, water sources, and infrastructure.

Through risk education activities, we reached more than 1.05 million people with information about explosive hazards.

Alongside mine clearance, strengthening long-term partnerships and local organizations remained central to our work. In Angola, we supported female demining teams, while in Cambodia and Sri Lanka we explored new AI-assisted drone technologies together with our partner organizations.

The 2025 annual report highlights the impact of this work and shares the stories of people whose daily lives have become safer through humanitarian mine action. The report also features a refreshed and more reader-friendly layout.
