As a small foundation, WWM collaborates with other organisations to make the most of the means at its disposal. It also routinely engages in exchange with Swiss and international players involved in mine clearance.
The HALO Trust
The HALO Trust, based in Scotland, is one of the largest players in humanitarian demining and operates in around 20 countries. The foundation was established in 1988 in connection with mine clearance in Afghanistan. World without Mines works with HALO Trust in Zimbabwe and Angola.
DanChurchAid (DCA) is a well-established organisation active in emergency relief, development cooperation and humanitarian demining. In Southern Sudan, DCA has been operational since 2013 with mine action programmes and is highly experienced in implementing risk awareness. DanChurch has been our project partner in Southern Sudan since 2015.
UXO Lao was founded in 1996 by the Laotian Government, UNICEF and UNDP, the United Nations Development Programme. With around 1,400 employees, a quarter of whom are women, it is the largest national player in humanitarian mine action. UXO Lao and Welt ohne Minen have been working together in Laos since 2008.
Afrilam was founded in 2008 in Kisangani and is the only local organisation in the DR Congo approved for ordnance disposal and mine clearance. WoM supports the organisation in collecting information on minefields, in explosive ordnance disposal and in risk education. The project partnership with Afrilam has existed since 2012.
Cambodian Self Help Demining
Cambodian Self Help Demining (CSHD) is a national NGO based in Siem Reap that was founded on the initiative of former child soldier Aki Ra. It works in remote regions where often no other organisation is active. The American NGO Landmine Relief Fund (LMRF) supports CSHD in project and financial management. World Without Mines has supported CSHD's work since 2017.
Pazi Mine Vitez
Pazi Mine Vitez is a small Bosnian demining company that has been working with the world without mines since 2008. WoM supports Pazi Mine Vitez in clearing individual minefields in central Bosnia.
"Delvon Assistance for Social Harmony" (DASH) was founded in Sri Lanka in 2010. It is one of the most important local organisations in Mine Action. The cooperation with DASH exists since January 2019.
