After some delays, the new Data Protection Act and the associated Data Protection Ordinance will come into force in Switzerland on September 1, 2023. The new provisions adapt data protection to technological developments, strengthen self-determination over personal data and increase transparency in the procurement of personal data. They thus ensure better protection of personal data.
